Geotechnical Engineering Field Technician

Location: Denver, Colorado Pay: $22–$26/hour DOE Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP

We’re Hiring: Geotechnical Engineering Field Technician

We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineering Field Technician to join our team in the Denver area. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in geotechnical testing, construction materials, or field inspection who enjoys working outdoors and being part of active construction projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform field testing and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials
  • Conduct testing in accordance with applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and project specifications
  • Perform soil density testing and concrete testing
  • Collect and document field samples
  • Record accurate test results and prepare field reports
  • Communicate with contractors, project managers, and engineering staff
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications
  • Maintain testing equipment and company vehicle
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in geotechnical, construction materials testing, or field inspection preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document results
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACI Certification preferred
  • Experience with soil, aggregate, concrete, or asphalt testing
  • Knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO testing standards
  • Additional construction materials or testing certifications are a plus

Requirements

  • Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
  • Successful background check required
  • Ability to meet company/client safety and site-access requirements

Compensation

$22–$26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
