GEA Group's Pharma Division is searching for our next Director of Service to oversee all field service and service sales activities for the North American Region!

This is a remote role but will require minimal travel to Customer sites and quarterly visits to our Pharma Headquarters in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Service Department of Pharma NAM, allocate Field Service and Service Sales resources and prioritize initiatives in alignment within Pharma NAM and the other relevant sub business units.

  • Manage all Pharma NAM Service activities focusing on financial and strategic growth of the business, improve the Pharma BU Service Order intake/Revenue/Gross Margin position in NAM and drive customer satisfaction.

  • Help to develop the business plan, implement the business plan of Pharma NAM.

  • Build key customer relationships. Negotiate, close and maintain the SLA (Service Level Agreement) with customers.

  • Develop, implement and monitor budget of Service department in Pharma NAM. Organize and perform monthly Service Call/Service Project review and maintain the project and service call execution in good shape.

  • Ensure the team deliver the Service Projects, Service Calls, Spare Parts according to the budget, schedule, scope and specifications together with meeting customer satisfaction.

  • Ensures that staff follow procedural tasks such as timesheets, vacation requests, expense reports and follows GEA policies including Travel and the Health and Safety handbook.

  • Provides coaching and development support for service team, suggests training needs for performance improvement and completes performance evaluations though motivation and goal setting of staff.

  • Collaborates and aligns with the SBUs for Service Product Portfolio in NAM market

  • Defining departmental procedures and compliance, optimizing process flow.

  • Establish and inspirationally lead and develop high performance teams

  • The other tasks defined by Head of Pharma NAM from time to time.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred

  • 5+ years' experience in the Pharma industryrequired

  • 5+ years' experience in similar functions, with at least 3+ years in a Leadership capacity required

  • Profound Sales and Operations Management expertise

  • Broad work experience with organizational practices across several different job areas

  • Deep application knowhow, end-to-end process expertise

  • Experience with lean production processes and excellent product innovation

  • Understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles

  • Change management experience

  • Analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically

  • Strong Customer / Service orientation

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
