Job description

Design Engineer II Diamond Vision Systems

Position Summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking an Design Engineer II to perform engineering, product design, and quality activities that support the design, manufacture, testing, installation, and ongoing support of Diamond Vision LED display products and systems throughout the product lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and support Diamond Vision LED video displays as seen in professional sports stadiums, arenas and Times Square.
  • Partner with overseas factory engineering teams to develop new products and drive continuous product and design improvements.
  • Improve product quality, reliability, and cost through engineering design enhancements.
  • Lead corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives using the Division's Quality Reporting System (QRS).
  • Collaborate with suppliers by participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), supplier qualifications, and resolving product design and quality issues.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, specifications, and drawings.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in product design, quality engineering, systems design or a related engineering role.
  • Experience supporting products throughout the full engineering lifecycle, from design through manufacturing and field support.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Experience with BOMs, engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD software.
  • Working knowledge of NEC and UL standards.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
