Job description

About the Role
We''re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help turn complex cloud, financial, and operational data into clear, actionable insights that improve business performance. In this role, you will serve as a trusted analytical partner to Cloud Operations, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Accounting, and Cloud Sales Leadership, helping teams make smarter decisions across multi-cloud environments.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys moving beyond standard reporting to uncover meaningful trends, identify risks, and deliver recommendations that influence both strategy and execution. You''ll work with data from AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), as well as financial, operational, and customer data, to support cloud optimization, forecasting, operational performance, and decision-making.
If you''re energized by solving business problems with data, building scalable analytics solutions, and helping leaders understand what matters most, this role offers strong visibility and the chance to make measurable impact.
What You''ll Do
• Analyze cloud spend, usage, and operational data to identify trends, risks, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
• Deliver insights and recommendations that improve cost efficiency, resource utilization, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define KPIs, scorecards, and success metrics aligned to organizational goals.
• Build forecasting and predictive models to improve visibility into cloud spend, resource demand, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
• Evaluate reservation strategies, savings plans, licensing impacts, and commitment-based discounts across cloud platforms.
• Support budgeting, chargeback, showback, and cost allocation initiatives with advanced analytical modeling.
• Develop dashboards, reporting models, and self-service analytics tools that help teams make faster, better-informed decisions.
• Investigate recurring operational issues and recommend opportunities for automation, remediation, and process improvement.
• Measure the impact of FinOps and optimization initiatives to quantify business value.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
What You Bring
• 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, cloud analytics, financial analytics, or a related field.
• Bachelor''s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and translating analysis into practical business recommendations.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform cloud services, billing structures, and consumption models.
• Experience creating dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, forecasts, and predictive models for operational and executive stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources using APIs, automated workflows, and cloud-native analytics tools.
• Understanding of data modeling, governance, data quality, and business performance metrics.
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics is a plus.
Preferred Certifications
Candidates with certifications in the following areas will be especially attractive:
• FinOps
• Cloud Platform Certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Data Analytics / Business Intelligence
• AI or Machine Learning
