Job Summary

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading the plant engineering function to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role oversees capital projects, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and supports all production equipment and facility systems are properly maintained. The position plays a critical role in improving equipment reliability, reducing costs, and supporting production through effective use of resources and engineering solutions.

Essential Functions
  • Lead and manage engineering resources to support plant operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Support production and other departments by providing technical guidance and responsive support.
  • Supervise Engineering team responsible for technical support of plant and machine maintenance systems and repairs.
  • Technical support for all production equipment and facility systems is maintained to promote safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Collaborate to develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance operational performance
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute capital projects, including equipment installation and process upgrades
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to support maintenance activities and project execution
  • Work with outside consultants to provide expertise and support for specialized projects or improvements
  • Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Job Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 510 years of engineering and/or maintenance management experience
  • Experience managing capital projects and driving process improvements
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience in manufacturing (paper, packaging, or printing preferred)
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
Environment
  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment requiring strong prioritization and resource management
  • Balancing maintenance costs with production efficiency and reliability
  • Driving long-term improvements while supporting immediate operational needs
