Job description

Engineering Program ManagerJob Overview

As the Engineering Program Manager you will manage project budgets, track resource needs, identify scope variances and assist in corrective actions to ensure projects meet margin and customer satisfaction goals. You will work closely with the Director, Engineering Team Lead, and other leads to assess scope, schedule, deliverables, and resources.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the Director, Engineering Team Lead, and design, integration, and analytics leads to assess scope of work, schedule, deliverables, and resources necessary for each project.
  • Assist in preparing complete estimates for pursuits and new projects and track proposal status.
  • Provide overall business management support for multiple projects simultaneously, including budgeting, action items, task code spreadsheets, manpower projections, and program access.
  • Coordinate with project PM and cost accounting to ensure task codes are funded and incorporated into Oracle project budgets and chargeable in Kronos.
  • Ensure project timelines and schedules are communicated and met, sending reminders as due dates approach.
  • Assist Team Leads in preparing and submitting change orders (ECNs) timely and validate customer acceptance.
  • Request generation or renaming of task codes for approved ECNs and track status, budget, and funding.
  • Maintain and submit EPCO logs with ECNs to the executive administrator.
  • Prepare weekly/bi‑weekly project budget tracking reports, including metrics such as expense versus budget, labor versus budget, and progress versus timeline.
  • Distribute resource projections to the team multiple times monthly prior to the Director’s monthly resource review meeting and post the Master on Engineering SharePoint.
  • Schedule and facilitate weekly project meetings, biweekly and quarterly team meetings, and additional meetings as required.
  • Assist in the hiring process, tracking candidates through HR and IT processes, ensuring equipment and software are ready before the first day.
  • Assist in onboarding new hires, acclimating them to the group, engineering processes, and Rosendin systems and resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under changing priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, effective team player.
  • Professional interaction with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Oracle (preferred).
Preferred Experience
  • 3‑5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience/knowledge in finance, scheduling, management, or engineering.
  • Oracle experience.
Travel & Working Conditions

Travel up to 10%. Working conditions include sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, and occasional lifting up to 30lbs. Work is conducted primarily indoors with fluorescent lighting and air conditioning; noise levels can be low to medium or loud on the jobsite.
