Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, train and coach new team members, setting clear priorities to ensure high quality deliverables
  • Assist PPMs in resolving roadblocks and/or finding creative solutions to resolve issues
  • Identify continuous-improvement opportunities to improve speed, quality, and repeatability, and reporting to analytics templates
  • Program management responsibilities for Truck/Wrangler/Hemi specific vehicle program variants, including Serial Life related activities
  • Ownership of all timing, capacity, business impact of supplier-related contributions to Heavy Duty Truck and Light Commercial Van segments development and execution across full NA scope
  • Close coordination with ongoing cost actions to drive efficiencies and optimization of Serial Life production cost as well as next-generation cost input into Planning process
  • Preparation and input into Governance decision processes, including those that have direct level exposure to Senior Leadership (inc. NA and SLT members)
  • Facilitate working sessions to drive efficiencies by sharing best practices and lessons learned
  • Drive first level of escalation for vehicle product sourcing through direct engagement with engineering program management colleagues, leading yellow enablers
  • Report out to executive leadership on purchasing metrics (cost/timing/readiness/capacity) to support vehicle program metrics

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field (ABET accredited)
  • 10+ years' experience, including 3+ years in Supplier Quality, Purchasing, SCM, Engineering or related areas
  • Strong organizational skills; excels in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Results-oriented leader with experience guiding cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable with all management levels
  • Deep understanding of Group Purchasing business processes
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and Qlik Sense
  • Effective under pressure; strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel (0-20%), primarily within North America

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA / Master's degree
  • Previous buyer experience
  • Experience working with SAP
