Job description

We are looking to add a Professional (PE) Mechanical Engineer to our growing team in the greater Los Angeles area.  

Professional (PE) Mechanical Engineer with experience in Engineering and Design for the installation and modifications of Manufacturing and Process equipment, HVAC systems, Plumbing, Process Piping, and Clean Pressurized gas systems.

  • Lead and support Facilities Projects in the development of Mechanical Engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for Equipment Acquisitions, Facility renovations, and Construction projects.
  • Interface with A&E firms and Construction Contractors. 
  • Review and approve construction documents and contractor submittals. 
  • Maintain as-built drawings and records. 
  • Interpret and apply codes. 
  • Support Maintenance staff in trouble shooting and technical issues as required.
  • Manage facilities projects: including internal customer interface, external contractor interface, leading Project Teams, developing project scope, schedule, cost, generating and reviewing/approving work authorizations and invoices for payment.


Qualifications:
**U.S. Citizenship only, no dual citizenship**

Required:
  • Knowledgeable of applicable Mechanical and Plumbing Building codes
  • Knowledgeable of applicable industry standards (e.g. ASME/ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc)
  • California State Licensed Professional Engineer - Mechanical Engineering
  • High level of Safety and Customer focus
  • Proficient in AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & MS Project.
  • Strong skills in leadership, teamwork, Risk and Opportunity Management, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, customer personnel, outside agencies, suppliers and others.
  • Ability to lead several projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & MS Project
  • Ability to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps), as well as a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

Education: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9+ years of prior relevant experience. 


$70-$75 per hour DOE
