KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations Trailblazer: Step up as our maintenance crew captain! Lead the charge, hand out projects like a pro, and keep every day running smoother than a freshly oiled gearall with your winning grin.
  • Maintenance Marvel: Dive fearlessly into preventative maintenance missions, answer guest calls on the double, conquer work orders, and flaunt your superhero skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and beyond!
  • Safety Superhero: Keep our property safe and soundtackle every task with lightning speed, sound the alarm at the first sign of trouble, and zap away hazards before they even know what hit them.
  • Team Cheerleader: Rally your engineering all-stars, juggle schedules like a circus master, and inspire your crew to be their absolute best every single shift.
  • Guest Happiness Guru: Respond to guest room fixes at record speed and sprinkle every interaction with positivity, making their stay unforgettable.
  • Property Adventurer: Embark on regular explorations around the groundsspruce up the place, check on lights and irrigation, and ensure our pool and spa pass every health code with flying colors. Details are your treasure!
  • Admin Ace: Master the paperwork gamekeep maintenance forms flawless, engineering records spotless, and jump in to help set up special meetings and events like a true backstage superstar.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record required (property specific).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and handle financial information and basic arithmetic.

The brand-new Marriott CityPlace at Springwoods Village is ideally situated on the east end of CityPlace Park in Houstons burgeoning Springwoods Village district. We offer stylish, amenity-rich accommodations in a walkable and connected neighborhood. Our modern design is inspired by the areas meandering paths, forest trails, and lakes while offering travelers a seamless transition from work to play. Visitors will enjoy 337 rooms across 10 stories featuring modern lounge furniture, a flexible workspace with high-speed WiFi and 50-inch HDTVs. Guests can enjoy our M Club Lounge featuring complimentary breakfast and snacks, areas to mingle with friends, cocktails served in the evening and our very own Switchouse Restaurant & Bar. We also offer 33,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including a Grand and Junior Ballroom and three boardrooms.
