Job description

Lab Manager - Engineering Dept
The Engineering Lab Manager is required to support the assembly/alignment/testing of RF/Microwave electronic component assemblies starting with PC sub-assemblies to modules to system integration.
1- Generation of in-process test procedures/data sheets for PCA's, modules and top-level system testing.
2- Design and creation of system interface test fixturing.
3- Review of customer performance specifications (EQ spec) and customer supplied documentation:
- Parts/Material/Process program requirements
- Top level system test requirements including Thermal Cycling, Thermal Vacuum, Vibration, Shock and EMI testing.
4- Generation of engineering required documentation:
- Failure reports (if required)
- Discrepant Material Report (DMR)
- Recovery Test Plans.
- Engineering change notices for customer review and internal component updates.
- End Item Data Packages for submittal to customer for review and acceptance.
- Data Management (storage and maintaining of test data for company review and accessibility)
5- Test support for engineers, technicians, engineering associates:
- Tools (universal for RF/Microwave assemblies)
- Test equipment (specific to each program)
- Equipment rental/purchase
6- Technical understanding of typical system designs:
- Passive designs (power dividers, lowpass/highpass/bandpass filters, crystal filters)
- Active designs (Oscillators, amplifiers, multipliers, phase locked loops, mixers, etc.)
- Temperature compensation using thermistor (PTC and NTC)
7- Familiarity with EEE parts selection, including characterization/evaluation, screening, traceability and derating requirements for space applications including radiation.
Education & Required Skills:
The candidate must possess a BSEE, 10yrs Engineering background, working Product Lifecycle Management system.
Salary Range $125K-150K annum based on experience.

In addition, we operate on a 9/80 work schedule, which gives employees every other Friday off. This schedule includes longer workdays-9 hours and 45 minutes with a mandatory 45-minute lunch break. One week consists of four workdays (36 hours), and the following week includes five workdays (45 hours). Despite this variation, employees are paid for a consistent 40-hour workweek, with weekly pay.
