Step into your career as an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Victoria, BC, and help design the systems that power communities. In this role, you'll support multidisciplinary building projects, contribute to innovative electrical designs, and grow your technical expertise alongside experienced professionals. From concept to construction, you'll play a hands-on role in shaping resilient, efficient, and sustainable buildings-including projects supporting government and defence sector clients.

Your Impact
  • Support the design of electrical building systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communications
  • Prepare calculations, technical drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality project outcomes
  • Participate in field reviews, site inspections, and commissioning activities
  • Contribute to impactful building projects, including those supporting government and defence sector clients
  • Assist in ensuring designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Engage in continuous learning and actively work toward professional licensure (P.Eng.)
  • Build strong client and team relationships through clear communication and technical excellence

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited program
  • Registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
  • Understanding of building electrical systems design principles
  • Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms is an asset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
  • Holds, or is eligible to obtain, a Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance
  • Experience supporting government, infrastructure, or defence-related projects is considered an asset
  • Candidates open to relocating to the Victoria, BC area are encouraged to apply; relocation support may be considered based on role requirements and candidate experience

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 - $97,200
MB & ON: $67,000 - $92,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $66,300 - $88,000
