Job description

Field Work:

o   Site reconnaissance to observe and record any relevant geotechnical data for the project site.

o   Supervision, logging, and sampling of testholes/testpits, during drilling of testholes or excavation of testpits.

o   Supervision of geotechnical instrumentation installations, and taking readings of installed instrumentation.

o   Coordination and preparation for field assignments, including field drilling and instrumentation monitoring.

Office Work:

o   Visual inspection of collected samples and preparation of lab testing schedules.

o   Preparation of testhole/testpit logs using gINT, with inclusion of lab testing results.

o   Assisting with geotechnical design and analysis, using geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, AB Walls, LPile, etc.

o   Preparation of geotechnical drawings, including site plans, soil profiles, design packages, construction specifications, etc.

o   Assisting with preparation of geotechnical proposals and reports.

o   Assisting with coordination of subcontractors and communication with clients.
