Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Engineer Digital 3 (RF Test & Power Engineer) to support a leading aerospace and defense client in Baltimore, MD. This role is part of a high-performing Manufacturing Operations Test Engineering Team, responsible for supporting the development, integration, testing, and delivery of RF, digital, and power hardware.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy hands-on technical work, troubleshooting complex systems, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement test methods and test equipment
Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF, digital, and power hardware
Support production hardware integration and test activities
Analyze test data and identify trends to improve performance
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
Support First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and delivery schedules
Recommend improvements in: Test equipment, Test procedures, Manufacturing processes
Collaborate with design engineering to implement hardware improvements
Support and train test technicians during troubleshooting activities
Monitor and maintain program yield targets
Participate in program reviews and report: Yield issues, Failure trends, Corrective actions
Interface with cross-functional teams including: Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Design Engineering, Systems Engineering, Program Management
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years of experience
OR
Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
Strong experience in:
RF, digital, and power systems testing
High-power test equipment
Electrical system troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Engineering (Power-focused preferred)
Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems at component and system level
Experience with: Lab Windows/CVI, C / C++ programming, Test Stand programming
Strong knowledge of: RF theory, Analog and digital systems, High-speed digital design
Experience with: LVDS interfaces, PXI / PXIe / VME systems
Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical hardware
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
