Job description

PLC ENGINEER

Deerfield Beach based manufacturer. Degree required, with 3-5 years experience. Allen Bradley PLC programming EXPERIENCE required., Siemens programming helpful. SCADA and networking experience required. ( Experience with design of control/panels and systems a plus.) AutoCAD experience will be helpful. Some travel required. We are a 40 year old company with stability, growth, and excellent benefits. Salary dependent on ability. DFWP. Principals only.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Electrical Engineering degree preferred, will consider other qualifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop PLC and HMI programs

• Establish and troubleshoot network and SCADA customer interfaces.

• Develop control schemes and select electrical hardware/software for panels.

• Develop Engineering Instructions and Operating Logic

• Select electrical components

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• LOGIX 5000 PLC programming.

• Ability to read and interpret specifications and wiring diagrams.

• Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC)

• Ability to multi task and meet critical deadlines

• Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges

• Good communication skills essential for team-based work and collaboration

• Resourceful in problem solving.
