Job Description Manufacturing Engineering Technologist Location: Woodstock, ON Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Shift: Days Salary: $80,000-$100,000 per year + Bonus Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technologist to support and improve manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for the development, programming, optimization, and documentation of CNC/NC equipment, robotics, tooling, and gauging systems. The successful candidate will work closely with production and engineering teams to improve process efficiency, troubleshoot technical challenges, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, customer, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities Develop, program, optimize, and support CNC/NC machining equipment. Support robotics and automation systems within the manufacturing environment. Design, develop, and improve tooling, fixtures, and gauging systems.

Troubleshoot manufacturing and machining processes and provide effective technical solutions. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost. Lead and support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Manage technical projects from planning through implementation. Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation. Work closely with production teams to resolve operational issues with urgency.

Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer requirements, quality standards, and safety objectives. Support APQP processes, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and other quality requirements. Apply GD&T principles and machining best practices to manufacturing processes.

Qualifications & Experience 3-year post-secondary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, machining, or a similar technical environment. Strong experience with CNC programming, robotics, and tooling development.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities. Technical Knowledge & Skills Advanced knowledge of: CNC machining and programming, including Fanuc, Okuma, or similar controls Robotics and manufacturing automation Tooling, fixtures, and gauging systems Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Machining practices and manufacturing processes Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Working knowledge of: CAD/CAM software, preferably SolidWorks APQP processes SOP development and technical documentation Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Required Skills Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities Excellent project management and multitasking skills Experience with CAD/CAM, CNC programming, and robotic integration Strong technical writing and documentation skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment Proactive problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail What We Offer Competitive salary of $80,000-$100,000 per year + Bonus Full-time, permanent opportunity Comprehensive Health & Dental benefits Pension plan Professional development and tuition reimbursement Stable, long-term career opportunity
