We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Energy Analyst to support our mission of advancing sustainable and efficient energy management across a diverse portfolio of high-performance commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties. This portfolio includes millions of square feet of space and represents one of the most sophisticated energy management ecosystems in the city.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with senior leadership to monitor and optimize energy production, consumption, and performance. You'll transform data into actionable insights that enhance system efficiency and contribute to long-term sustainability goals. From reconciling utility data to applying predictive analytics, this position offers the opportunity to help shape the future of smart, sustainable urban energy systems.
This role is ideal for someone who combines technical expertise, analytical rigor, and a passion for innovation in energy management.
Responsibilities
  • Assess building system efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Reconcile utility bills for electricity, natural gas, and water consumption
  • Oversee electricity and thermal utility billing for buildings and individual tenants (commercial, office, and residential)
  • Generate executive reports detailing energy consumption and production trends
  • Develop and manage utility spend budgets for electricity, thermal utilities, and water
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of energy management tools and technologies
  • Conduct economic analyses of proposed energy management improvements
  • Apply analytical tools to evaluate and predict building energy performance

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 3 4 years of professional experience in energy analysis or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, MATLAB, R, Python, or Stata
  • Understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Client, fire/life safety, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
