Job Details

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and innovative Permanent Controls Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Ceramic Tile Manufacturing, Machine Maintenance, and Process Control. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to apply their skills to enhance our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance of our manufacturing processes.
  • Perform regular machine maintenance to ensure optimal functioning, identify any technical issues and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Apply knowledge of Ceramic Tile Manufacturing to improve our production processes and meet our quality standards.
  • Utilize SCADA systems for effective industrial control and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to integrate new systems and technologies into our existing operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process control diagrams, system layouts, and operational manuals.
  • Provide training and technical support to production staff, ensuring they understand and can effectively use our control systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Ceramic Tile Manufacturing would be a huge plus, but is not a hard requirement. We are willing to train someone who already has a PLC background in the specifics of our machines and process!
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a role involving PLC Programming and Machine Maintenance for manufacturing lines.
  • Proficiency in SCADA systems and a deep understanding of Industrial Control.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
