Associate Project Engineer - Commissioning page is loaded## Associate Project Engineer - Commissioninglocations: Washington - Pullman: Texas - Houstontime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: 2026-20421**As a Project Engineer, a typical day might include the following:*** Know and apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of power system *focus area\**.* Assist teams that support customers with the design, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems, both on-site and from SEL offices.* Complete assigned work using established procedures and working under immediate supervision.* Complete assigned work within agreed upon scope, schedule and budget while focusing on quality and safety.**Required Qualifications*** B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline* Self-motivated with continuous desire to learn and find solutions* Willing to travel both domestically and internationally a minimum of 25% based on focus area.* Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities**Preferred Qualifications*** College coursework in electric power and/or controls (power system protection, symmetrical components, programming, control systems)* Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate* Work experience in electric utilities, industrial plants, communications, computer programming, or construction***Focus Area = Commissioning**** Commissioning = perform commissioning and site acceptance testing in the field, train and assist customers with installation, commissioning and operation of devices. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
