Job Description

We are looking for another incredible Controls Engineer to join our team. The Controls Engineer primary role is supporting the project manager assigned to projects. This includes a wide variety of activities. Responsibilities for this job includes an understanding of regular engineering processes, documenting work performed, working with program design and testing, and troubleshooting. An understanding of control logic and control processes is necessary, as is accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team setting; however, this position does not normally include supervisory responsibilities unless directed to do so.

Custom Control is a well-established, 45 year old, fast-growing, family-owned private company located in Overland Park, KS. We develop and integrate control systems for industry. For example, we manufacture controls for solar power generation and storage, food processing, airport fueling, and many others.

A day in the life of a Controls Engineer

Our control engineers usually work both individually and as a team. Our beautiful facility houses both engineering and operations and is open five days a week with flexible hours. You may be assigned to a wide variety of projects, with a wide variety of tasks. All projects have a senior project manager assigned to guide and direct. Your level of autonomy is dependent upon your abilities but never without help if you need it.
