Water Works Engineers (WWE) is a leading civil and environmental engineering firm specializing in innovative and sustainable solutions for water infrastructure projects across the United States. Since 2005, we have excelled in planning, designing, and implementing projects involving the treatment, storage, and conveyance of drinking water, recycled water, and wastewater. Committed to innovation, integrity, and teamwork, we enhance the sustainability and resilience of the communities we serve.
Why this role matters:
As a Civil/Environmental Engineer based in our Lehi, Utah office, you will play a vital role in planning and designing essential water, wastewater, and recycled water systems across the Intermountain West. Your work will help build stronger, more sustainable communities-ensuring reliable access to clean water and improved environmental outcomes.
Your daily impact:
  • Support design efforts for water, wastewater, and recycled water treatment and conveyance systems.

  • Contribute to the development of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental documentation (e.g., NEPA).
  • Participate in construction administration and occasional fieldwork, including site visits and inspections.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including municipalities and utility districts.
  • Maintain quality and consistency across technical deliverables while supporting client goals and project timelines.

What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience in water, wastewater, or recycled water infrastructure.
  • EIT certification is required; PE licensure or the ability to obtain it within one year is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Utah DEQ/DWQ standards and permitting processes is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, treatment processes, and site civil design principles.
  • Experience with software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel for project meetings, fieldwork, and construction support, particularly within Utah.
