LEAD TECHNICIAN & ENGINE MECHANIC

Where You Fit In

As a Lead Technician & Engine Mechanic on our in-house fleet team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including diesel/gas trucks, commercial mowers, and two-cycle equipment. This role is essential in upholding our company's image and keeping our operations teams working safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment, including power equipment, mowers, trucks, trailers, and other landscape tools
  • Recondition vehicles and equipment twice a year to ensure they meet company image standards and are safe, reliable, and ready for use
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
  • Accurately document and maintain service and repair records
  • Provide exceptional internal customer service, prioritizing efficiency, quality, and communication
  • Assist with other operational tasks as assigned


Qualifications:

  • A safety-first mindset with a commitment to adhering to safety regulations and promoting safe work practices
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on mechanical experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, especially with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipment
  • Ability to supply personal tools as needed to perform the role
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Experience with diesel engines and bilingual ability (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required


Reports To:Shop Manager

Pay: $25-30/hour (based on experience)
