We are seeking a Software Solution Architect – Rhapsody Developer to join our team. This role will involve designing and developing healthcare system integrations using the Rhapsody Integration Engine and creating custom solutions for secure data exchange between enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare integration, message transformation, and secure API-based system communication, along with a passion for building scalable and reliable integration architectures.


Job Title: Software Solution Architect – Rhapsody Developer
Location: Hybrid, Lansing, MI (2 Days Onsite per Week)
Duration: 1-Year Contract (Possible Extension)
Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Solution Architect with strong expertise in the Rhapsody Integration Engine to design and implement enterprise healthcare integrations. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing secure, scalable integrations and translating complex message payloads between healthcare systems and enterprise applications.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations using the Rhapsody Integration Engine (7.x)
  • Use the Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK) to create custom filters, mappers, and extensions
  • Develop custom message transformations between formats such as JSON, XML, and HL7
  • Translate healthcare and enterprise data into proprietary or legacy formats when required
  • Develop and integrate web services using SOAP, REST, OAuth, TCP connections, and LLP
  • Implement transport-level security including TLS encryption and certificate-based authentication
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance of healthcare data workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design secure and scalable integration solutions
  • Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations

Required Qualifications:
  • Several years of hands-on experience with the latest Rhapsody Integration Engine (7.x)
  • Strong experience using the Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK)
  • Experience building custom message payload translations (JSON, XML, HL7, proprietary formats)
  • Experience working with SOAP and REST web services
  • Strong understanding of OAuth, TCP connections, and LLP protocols
  • Experience implementing secure transport protocols such as TLS and certificate-based authentication
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Rhapsody Certification
  • Experience in healthcare integration environments
  • Experience designing scalable enterprise integration architectures
