Job description

An Automotive Engine Service Technician is responsible for repairing customer's vehicles, performing factory required maintenance and inspecting vehicles for preventative procedures.

Automotive Engine Service Technician responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicles correctly the first visit.
  • Follow factory procedures and diagnosis data.
  • Works with Service Advisors to provide corrective measures, costs, and time estimates.
  • Works with Shop Foreman and Advisors to deliver vehicles in a timely manner.
  • Achieves and Maintains Factory Required training and certification.
  • Performs quality control checks and test drive after repairs.
  • Follows repairs procedures and safety procedures correctly.
  • Engine experience is a must.
  • Uses equipment, and software to help diagnose and repair vehicles.
