Lube & Tire Technician
Job Description
We are looking to hire motivated Lube & Tire Technicians for our two locations in Ponca City to maintain and service customers' vehicles in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all safety procedures and practices. The Lube & Tire Technician's responsibilities include preparing detailed vehicle service reports, changing motor oil as well as transmission and brake fluid as needed, repairing, maintaining, and installing tires, and also replacing maintenance items as needed. You should also be able to keep vehicle interiors clean while performing maintenance and servicing tasks. Our competitive pay plans include regular clock time, overtime, and a flag commission.
Hours: M-F 7:30 am - 5:30 pm and every other Saturday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Pay: Dependent on level of experience - $11.00 to $15.00 per clock hour with overtime allowed plus an additional $2.00 to $3.00 per flag hour commission.
Lube & Tire Technician Responsibilities:
  • Applying lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.
  • Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
  • Installing and balancing tire/wheels assemblies weighing up to 75 lbs with lifting assistance.
  • Checking wear patterns.
  • Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
  • Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed.
  • Conduct maintenance on or install new TPMS systems.
  • Thoroughly inspecting customers' vehicles for oil leaks.
  • Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.
  • Notifying the Service Advisor when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled time frames.
  • Drive vehicles into and out of the service areas.
  • Provides excellent customer service, and promotes store sales.

Lube & Tire Technician Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in automotive maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Experience in tire service preferred.
  • Knowledge of tire sizes and applications is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
