Engine Technician – Ensure Peak Performance for Advanced Aircraft Systems

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Engine Technician to support a leading organization in the aerospace industry in Tucson, AZ. If you take pride in precision, safety, and the technical mastery required to keep turbine engines operating at their best, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact.


Role Summary

As an Engine Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and testing turbine engines, APUs, and related systems. Your expertise ensures airworthiness, supports efficient return to service timelines, and upholds the highest standards of safety and compliance. This role is hands on, fast paced, and essential to maintaining the reliability and performance of corporate aircraft.


Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all applicable work instructions and adhere to environmental, health, and safety requirements.

  • Perform and document all maintenance tasks in compliance with manuals, regulations, and quality standards.

  • Inspect turbine engines, APUs, and associated components for damage, defects, corrosion, and wear.

  • Interpret discrepancies and maintenance logs to identify root causes and determine corrective actions.

  • Recommend repairs, replacements, or modifications based on inspection results.

  • Install, remove, or modify turbine engines/APUs and related systems per schematics, engineering orders, and technical publications.

  • Repair damaged or worn components using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.

  • Read, research, and interpret technical manuals to support troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Conduct and support operational checks and functional tests of engine and APU systems.

  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures and systems as assigned.

  • Inspect and certify completed work to ensure compliance and readiness for operation.

  • Assist with general aircraft maintenance tasks and support ground support equipment operations.

  • Participate in complete engine runs and off aircraft component repairs.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.

  • Complete additional duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of turbine engine line or shop maintenance experience (or equivalent).

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience on corporate jet aircraft.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working on Bombardier aircraft.

  • Proficiency in engine removals & installations, borescope inspections, and detailed report writing.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret complex technical information.

  • Experience supporting day to day aircraft maintenance in a service center environment.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and assist other technicians when needed.
