Job Description:
Job Summary: The A & P Mechanic will service, repair, troubleshoot, and overhaul aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness: Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, systems, and functional components. Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, structural components, and accessories using hand tools and power tools. Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges and test equipment, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills. Research and understand FAA technical data relevant to assigned tasks.
  • Hourly Pay Rate Range: $22.00 to $34.00
  • Additional Hourly Pay Rate: $2.00 per License

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform all work assigned in accordance with approved FAA data.
  • Ensure complete and proper documentation of work performed.
  • Ensure that all maintenance performed is in an airworthy condition.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, systems, and functional components, assemble, and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, structural components, and accessories using hand tools and power tools.
  • Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges and test equipment, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills.
  • Assure that all routine, non-routine, and customer request work cards are correctly completed and properly signed off.
  • Maintains the premises and the repair station in a clean and organized manner.
  • Performs additional duties as requested by supervisor or other management personnel.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to submit to pre-employment and periodic DOT regulations for drug and alcohol testing.

Education and Experience:
  • H.S. diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Must have an Airframe & Power Plant (A & P) License.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience utilizing A & P license.
  • Large commercial aircraft experience preferred but corporate, general, or military aircraft will be considered.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials, and a urinary pre-employment drug test per DOT regulations.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Attention to detail is imperative.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be efficient and able to document maintenance performed on required forms.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with the work product.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands.
  • Normal or corrected vision and hearing are required.
  • Subject to continual loud noise.
  • May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
