Job description

Pay Transparency: starting rate of $23 per hour, plus quarterly bonus eligibility. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review order, build tickets and prints to determine required assembly, exterior finish or any special options.
  • Assemble components according to drawings, instructions and established standards.
  • Proactively identify and write material / hardware shortages on bay white board.
  • Follow inventory replenishment processes.
  • Report all non-conforming parts, materials or drawings to assigned Production Supervisor.
  • Ability to input and scan work order data into MRP/JDE system using RF Scanner, keyboard and mouse and complete required reporting.
  • Consult Assembly Lead/Supervisor on suggestion/guidance to resolve assembly problems.
  • Follow all standard procedures and processes in accordance to assembly of machine in order to build a defect-free product. Complete required in-process inspection, repair any defects found and document critical quality information as necessary.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement of our products and processes to better serve our customers and improve the overall profitability of FS Solutions.
  • Meet predetermined daily/weekly/monthly efficiency, productivity, utilization and ship schedule for final assembly and subassemblies.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Perform all assigned safety / environmental inspections following the predefined process.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives and proactively identify shop/equipment maintenance needs and note these on the bay white board.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane system.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Candidates with the following skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Possesses advanced mechanical knowledge of hydraulic sytems,12-volt electrical systems, drive systems (including drive shafts, cogged belts or roller chains) or external engine assembly/repairs commonly found on mobile equipment.
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) controls and Can-Bus networks, a plus.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with basic mechanical education; Certification in Diesel Mechanic a plus
  • 6 Months related job experience
  • Ability to read drawings, blue prints and work instructions
  • Ability to obtain a Fork Lift Certification
  • Ability to appropriately use measuring devices (dial indicator, volt meter, pressure gauge)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for at least 6 hours per day.
