ENGEL Machinery North America has a job opportunity for a Mechatronics Assembler. POSITION INFORMATION

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the successful mechanical and electrical assembly of automation systems and robotic equipment. Must be comfortable with both electrical and mechanical assembly and ensure a successful assembly process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Build and setup Robotics and Automation systems including conveyer systems, linear robots, 6-axis robots, and more
    • Follow blueprints and wiring schematics
    • Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components
    • Power source and communication verification
    • Test and troubleshoot periphery equipment e.i. EoATs, conveyor, drawer systems, etc.
    • Perform heavy load crane operations
    • Perform forklift operation
    • Electrical cabinet assembly
    • Occasional Overtime required
    • Understanding of electrical safety protocols and GMPs
    • Executing electrical and pneumatic routings according to best practices
    • Fluid problem solving
    • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Training Requirement:

  • High School Diploma, Technical Trade School or GED required
  • Associate's Degree in technical field preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in assembly in a manufacturing setting

Licenses/Certifications:

  • None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Mechanical, electrical & pneumatic assembly experience
  • Ability to read schematics, drawings, tape measurer (mm), calipers, etc.
  • Use of tools i.e. drills, saws, angle grinders, etc.
  • Use of Mill & Lathe preferred
  • Mechatronics experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical safety principles, hazards, and safe work practices

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel time per year: 5% - 15%
  • Travel period: up to 1 week

Physical Requirements:

This role requires working in a production environment and utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Lifting of equipment is required up to 50 lbs.
