CI is Connecticut's leading source of funding and strategic support for early-stage technology companies, having invested in over 200 companies since its founding. With a focus on life sciences, technology, and clean energy, CI backs promising startups that contribute to the state's innovation economy. The Principal will work across all phases of the venture investment process, including sourcing new investment opportunities, conducting market research and competitive analysis, performing financial due diligence and financial modeling, and preparing investment recommendations for the Investment Committee. The role also includes portfolio company support through active board observation, helping management teams navigate strategic challenges, partnership development, and follow-on financing. The Principal will represent CI at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to build the firm's brand and deal pipeline. Salary range of $125,000-$150,000 commensurate with experience.
