Energy Utilities information

What are energy utilities?

Energy utilities are companies or organizations that generate, transmit, and distribute energy—such as electricity, natural gas, or water—to homes and businesses. These entities are vital for ensuring that communities have reliable access to essential services. Energy utilities often operate under government regulations to maintain safety, affordability, and environmental standards, and they play a significant role in infrastructure development and sustainability initiatives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in energy utilities?

To thrive in Energy Utilities, you need a strong understanding of energy systems, regulatory compliance, and safety protocols, often supported by a degree in engineering or related fields. Familiarity with SCADA systems, grid management software, and relevant certifications such as PMP or NERC are typically required. Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills help professionals adapt to evolving technologies and coordinate with diverse teams. These competencies ensure efficient operations, regulatory adherence, and reliable energy delivery to customers.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in the energy utilities sector?

Professionals in the energy utilities sector often encounter challenges such as adapting to evolving regulatory requirements, integrating renewable energy sources, and maintaining aging infrastructure. Balancing reliable service delivery with the need for technological innovation is a frequent focus, as is ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Team members typically collaborate across disciplines—including engineering, operations, and customer service—to address these dynamic industry needs and drive continuous improvement.

Job description

We're a growing global EHS SaaS company with a clear ambition: to combine world-class software, data and AI to help our customers operate smarter, safer and more efficiently. For exceptional talent, Evotix offers something rare-the pace of a growth company, the scale to make a real difference, and the opportunity to influence strategy, technology and outcomes at a global level.

At Evotix, we're creating the future of workplace health, safety and wellbeing—and we need ELITE people to help us do it. People who pursue Excellence , show Leadership , deliver Impact , earn Trust , and Empower those around them.

The Role:

Win enterprise growth. Own key relationships. Close meaningful deals.

Are you a proven enterprise seller? At Evotix, we’re looking for an Enterprise Account Executive to grow our presence across the US by expanding existing customer partnerships and winning new enterprise business that delivers long-term value.

You’ll own the full sales cycle, balancing strategic account management with proactive new business development, while building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across complex organisations. If you’re a tenacious, commercially driven seller who thrives on opening doors and consistently delivering against targets, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a high-growth market.

What You'll Do: Drive Revenue Growth Across Energy & Utilities
  • Own and deliver an annual sales target through a combination of new business acquisition, account expansion, and customer retention across a portfolio of enterprise Energy & Utilities customers.
  • Identify, develop, and close complex enterprise software and services opportunities with utilities, energy producers, and related enterprise organisations.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of new logo opportunities while driving growth within existing accounts.
Grow Strategic Customer Relationships
  • Build trusted relationships with executive and operational stakeholders, identifying opportunities to expand Evotix's footprint and deliver greater business value.
  • Partner with Customer Success to drive renewals, cross-sell, upsell, and long-term account growth.
  • Lead commercial discussions and account strategies that balance customer outcomes with revenue objectives.
  • Manage multi-stakeholder sales processes involving operations, EHS, compliance, technology, procurement, and executive decision-makers.
  • Position Evotix's software and services by aligning solutions to operational, regulatory, and business priorities.
  • Negotiate and close enterprise agreements while maintaining accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
Build Market Presence Within Energy & Utilities
  • Represent Evotix within the Energy & Utilities market, developing relationships with industry partners, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide market and customer insights to help shape regional growth strategies and go-to-market initiatives.
What You Bring:
  • Proven track record selling enterprise SaaS solutions, ideally within EHS, Energy & Utilities, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience closing complex, high-value subscription software deals, from mid-market to enterprise-level opportunities.
  • Skilled at building pipeline, generating new business, and developing opportunities within assigned accounts and territory.
  • Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, Operations, Safety, Compliance, and Technology leaders.
  • Strong relationship-building, sales process management, and negotiation skills with a focus on long-term customer value.
  • Ability to quickly understand and articulate the value of Evotix's software and services to prospective customers.
  • Proficient with CRM, sales engagement, and productivity tools, including Salesforce, Microsoft 365, LinkedIn, and virtual meeting platforms.

Please note that Evotix is unable to offer visa sponsorship. You must have the legal right to work in the country where the role is based at the time of application.

Interview Process:

We aim to keep our interview process transparent, fair, and respectful of your time. While steps may vary slightly by role, you can typically expect:

  • Initial chat: A conversation with a member of our Talent team to learn more about your background, motivations, and answer any initial questions.
  • Hiring Manager interview: A role-focused discussion exploring your experience, skills, and how you approach real-world scenarios relevant to the role.
  • Final Panel interview: A conversation with key stakeholders to dive deeper into collaboration, alignment, and mutual fit. This stage may involve a Case Study or Presentation to allow you to show off your skills!
  • Offer: If successful, we’ll move quickly to share an offer and next steps.

We’re happy to make reasonable adjustments at any stage of the process — just let us know what you need.

  • Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a competitive base salary and company-based performance bonus.
  • Time to Recharge: Unlimited Annual Leave because we trust you to balance your work and wellbeing. (AMER/EMEA)
  • Financial Future: Generous tiered 401k plan that increases over time. (AMER)
  • Support for You: Access to our Employee Assistance Program, including mental health, legal, and financial guidance.
  • Growth Opportunities: Educational benefits to help you keep learning and growing.
  • Team Culture: Regular team events, an inclusive environment, and a shared commitment to making an impact.
