Project Manager

Architectural Casework manufacturer in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Project Manager to grow our team. Summary

The project manager simultaneously manages multiple projects for multiple clients. The project manager is responsible for submitting project documents and submittals according to the quote, contract and bid documents and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

2. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

3. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility.

4. Ensure resource availability and allocation.

5. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques and coordinate timely and accurate billing for all managed projects.

6. Coordinate production and material flow with operations manager, shop foreman and area leaders to meet deadlines.

7. Perform checks on projects and production for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.

8. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

9. Report and escalate to management as needed.

10. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

11. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

12. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

13. Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

14. Complete field dimensioning and verification.

15. Use software, databases, spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs and/or produce management documents.

16. Produce fabrication, production, and delivery documents, i.e. build lists, sketches, specs, DWG’s, labels, ship tickets and others as required for projects.

Required Skills and Abilities:

1. Working knowledge of AWI standards, architectural casework materials, fabrication, and techniques

2. Proficient in AutoCAD and/or other CAD/CAM drafting software

3. Proven work experience in project management, reading, interpreting, and analyzing plans, specs, cut sheets, diagrams, catalogs and other documents as required to output correct products

4. Ability to read a tape measure, architectural plans and specs, math skills, add/subtract fractions, etc.

5. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

6. Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills

7. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

8. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

9. Data entry skills

Position Requirements:

1. 3+ years’ experience in the woodworking industry or 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry or related field; Project management experience preferred

2. Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience, preferred

3. High School Diploma or equivalent required

4. Attention to detail, highly organized and able to prioritize

5. The ability to run multiple, fast-paced projects simultaneously

6. Exceptional customer service and communication skills

7. Professional, positive attitude

8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

9. Self-starter and able to hold others accountable for meeting deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable, based on experience ($50,000-$80,000)
