What You'll Do as a Senior Energy + Environment Project Manager
  • Lead and manage mid- to large-scale environmental and energy infrastructure projects, from opportunity development through successful project delivery.
  • Drive project execution from kickoff through planning, environmental review, safety analysis, and implementation.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, staffing, and budgets, maintaining accurate project metrics and forecasts in company systems.
  • Guide project strategy and technical design, ensuring solutions meet client objectives and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Oversee project financial performance, including billing, status reporting, QA/QC of technical deliverables, and project closeout.
  • Develop and manage competitive project proposals, serving as Proposal Manager and primary client contact throughout the pursuit process.
  • Lead environmental permitting and regulatory coordination, navigating federal, state, and municipal approval processes.
  • Build strong client relationships and support business development, identifying new opportunities in renewable energy, oil and gas, and electrical transmission markets.
  • Represent the firm in industry associations, professional organizations, and community initiatives to strengthen partnerships and expand market presence.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and managing subcontractors to deliver high-quality environmental consulting services.

Requirements
What You Bring as a Senior Energy + Environment Project Manager
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental Studies, Planning, Geology, Environmental or Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental project management, environmental consulting, renewable energy permitting, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience with energy projects (solar, wind, BESS, oil & gas, utilities)
  • Strong knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, including local zoning and planning reviews and coordination with PADEP, PennDOT, and County Conservation Districts.
  • Experience preparing and submitting environmental permit applications, regulatory documentation, and land development plans in accordance with Pennsylvania Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build client relationships, identify project opportunities, and contribute to business development within environmental or energy consulting markets.
  • Experience conducting environmental compliance audits, regulatory reviews, and environmental assessments across multiple industries is a plus.
  • Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office to support environmental analysis, mapping, and technical documentation.

Salary Range $120,000-$155,000
