Position Summary

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Supervise the maintenance activity through the implementation of a preventive maintenance program and an ongoing maintenance repair program for the facility, production maintenance and process equipment.
 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


1. Coordinate and perform maintenance of building, machinery and grounds, procurement of necessary materials.

2. Manage or assist with facility renovations, upgrades, contractor assignments.

3. Support environmental requirements, hazardous waste, health and safety for the facility, including but not limited to lock out-tag out, fire sprinkler system and extinguishers, forklifts.

4. Familiarity with ISO 9001 initiatives

5. Make recommendations on building maintenance needs and improvements.

6. Install electrical conduit, wiring switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors and other such equipment.

7. Test, maintain and evaluate electrical equipment.

8. Perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering and plumbing.

9. Prepare accurate records for preventative and predictive maintenance.

10. Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area.

11. Performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:    
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

EXPERIENCE:    
    5+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
    Familiar with OSHA Health and Safety rules and regulations.
    Experience with Industrial plant electrical wiring and code requirements, PLC operation, troubleshooting, machine mechanical and electrical operation.
 

SKILLS:    
    Familiarity with air compressors, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, welding, electrical/electronic equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics and heavy manufacturing equipment.
    Ability to use and maintain a computerized maintenance work order notification system.
    Capable of developing standard work instructions for equipment. 
    Knowledge of mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
    Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
    Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the trades involved.
    Ability to interpret and work from pencil sketches and diagrams.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range:  25.44/hr to 44.09/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
