Energy Customer Care Agent (Work From Home)

Location: Michigan (Remote), must reside in the state of Michigan

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $16.50 an hour

Position Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused Energy Customer Care Agents to join our dedicated energy team. In this work-from-home role, you will support utility customers by delivering exceptional service in a specialized, technical environment. Our team plays a critical role in helping customers and program participants successfully navigate energy efficiency programs.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and process energy efficiency incentive applications for accuracy and eligibility

· Finalize approved energy applications and ensure accurate payment processing

· Provide inbound and outbound customer support via phone and online chat

· Assist applicants and program participants with program questions and application status

· Perform back-office processing support for utility clients and their customers

· Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing repetitive data and detailed information

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on repetitive data-driven tasks

· Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)

· Ability to work independently in a remote environment

· Comfort working in a technical or regulated setting

· Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous customer service, call center, or data processing experience

· Experience in utilities, energy efficiency programs, or technical customer support
