Job DescriptionAbout KODE Labs

KODE Labs is building the operating system for the built world. We're transforming how buildings operate, making them more intelligent, efficient, and sustainable at scale. Since 2017, we've partnered with some of the world's largest real estate portfolios to deliver measurable energy savings and operational excellence. But we're just getting started.

The smart buildings industry needs bold thinking and better solutions. We're here to set the standard: moving fast, building fearlessly, and proving what's possible when technology meets infrastructure. At KODE, results speak louder than titles, and every person drives meaningful impact.

About the Role

We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and forward-thinking Energy Analyst to join our growing team at KODE Labs — right as we launch our innovative and high-impact energy module .

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of data, technology, and sustainability , collaborating with some of the most exciting clients and portfolios around the world . You’ll help shape how global organizations visualize, understand, and act on their energy data — from utility billing and metering systems to advanced performance dashboards that redefine what energy intelligence looks like.

If you’re passionate about turning raw data into real-world impact, this is your opportunity to help deliver a product that’s setting a new standard in the built environment. You’ll have hands‑on ownership of energy data workflows — from setup and validation to automated delivery and visualization — while working alongside talented engineers, data analysts, and sustainability experts to make buildings smarter and more sustainable.

What You'll Do

Analyze and interpret energy data (metering, sub metering, and utility billing) to identify trends, anomalies, and efficiency opportunities.

Coordinate & Deliver utility billing and invoicing integrations, ensuring data completeness, consistency, and accuracy

Configure, validate, and maintain energy metering dashboards, integrating data sources and ensuring accurate mappings.

Understand and troubleshoot energy metering infrastructure, including hierarchy mapping, device accuracy, and data acquisition systems.

Deliver actionable energy performance insights through visualizations, dashboards, and reports.

Support sustainability bench marking and compliance with frameworks such as ENERGY STAR, LEED, NABERS, GRESB, and SBTi.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with data engineering, customer success, and product teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Continuously improve energy data processes, QA/QC standards, and analytics automation.

Analyze and interpret energy consumption data to produce actionable reports that inform and support continuous efficiency improvements.

RequirementsWhat We're Looking For

Required:

2–3 years of experience working with energy data from metering systems, sub metering, or utility billing statements.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with meticulous attention to data integrity and validation.

Working knowledge of energy metering infrastructure, data hierarchies, and calculation methods.

Communicate complex energy performance metrics in clear, concise terms to help leaders make data‑driven decisions at every level.

Experience in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms and Microsoft Excel or comparable software

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical insights into clear, actionable findings.

Basic proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar tools for data analysis and automation.

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Analytics , or a related field.

Ability to perform engineering analyses and calculations related to systems and processes that consume electricity and natural gas.

Familiarity with utility programs and incentive structures to support facilities in securing rebates and funding for energy efficiency initiatives.

Prior experience at an energy consulting firm, energy service company (ESCO), or energy/sustainability software company.

Familiarity with energy or sustainability management platforms

Understanding of building performance metrics (EUI, carbon intensity) and ESG reporting frameworks.

Why Join KODE

Massive Impact: Your work directly informs the efficiency and sustainability efforts of some of the world’s largest real estate portfolios, delivering tangible value that matters .

Real Ownership: You'll own the full lifecycle of energy data deployment, influencing data standards, product roadmaps, and client strategy.

Velocity & Support: We move fast and hold high standards, believing in continuous improvement and providing the resources needed to succeed.

Growth Trajectory: As the energy module scales rapidly, so will this role. You'll be a foundational member of the growing Mission Control team.

Merit‑Driven Culture: Your results speak louder than your resume. Good ideas win, regardless of where they come from.

Our Commitment

We're building a diverse team from different backgrounds, industries, and perspectives. We believe the best ideas come from varied experiences, and we're committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work.

You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't perfectly match every requirement. We value problem‑solving, adaptability, and strong communication just as much as industry‑specific experience. Let's talk about what you can bring to KODE.
