The position is completely onsite at our Augusta facility, which is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technologies. Our dedicated team works collaboratively, utilizing a patient-centered approach to deliver effective therapeutic interventions. This role involves working alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, providing a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere that stimulates personal and professional growth.

• Conduct detailed evaluations, including the review of medical history and specific assessment techniques to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer evidence-based therapies to address movement issues stemming from neurological conditions, including but not limited to stroke, multiple sclerosis, and traumatic brain injuries.
• Engage patients and their families by explaining evaluation results and involving them in goal-setting efforts to enhance outcomes.
• Implement treatment protocols tailored to the individual patient’s needs, adapting strategies according to their response and progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including initial evaluations, daily notes, interim progress reviews, and discharge summaries, thereby ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Actively collaborate with other healthcare professionals to refine treatment plans based on patient progress and health changes.
• Participate in community outreach programs and marketing initiatives that promote our services and enhance the visibility of physical therapy benefits.
• Monitor productivity metrics and manage time effectively to uphold the quality of care while meeting departmental goals.

This role primarily focuses on patients within our Neurology department, catering to individuals suffering from various movement disorders due to neurological injuries or illnesses. Our patients often include those recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, and other neurodegenerative diseases. Your expertise will not only assist in their physical rehabilitation but will also involve emotional support and motivation, fostering a holistic approach to rehabilitation.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure to practice physical therapy in Georgia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, and medical teams.
• Commitment to continual professional development and learning.

• Although prior work experience is not strictly required, any previous experience in a physical therapy setting, especially with a focus on neurology, is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems will be considered a plus.
