Responsibilities
Inpatient Therapist Opportunity - Offering $10,000 Sign-On Bonus!
This opportunity is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
The Therapist performs social service functions to include assisting clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. The clinical social services provided includes crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, group therapy, discharge planning, as well as basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for patients/families receiving care. The Therapist serves as an integral member of the treatment team and is also responsible for case management of patients internal/ external support systems.
Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is dedicated to providing youth with compassionate mental health treatment that encourages self-responsibility and personal growth. We are the only facility of our kind in Central Illinois. We provide psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. A clinically skilled multidisciplinary team works to partner with the youth and family to accomplish their goals in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications
Requirements
  • Strong clinical assessment skills with majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population,
  • Must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in job description.
  • Perform bio-psychosocial assessments that result in abroad picture of treatment needs, and aids in the development of a multidisciplinary treatment plan.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Education: Master's Degree in a mental health/human services field from an accredited college (counseling, social work, psychology) required.
  • Experience: Two (2) years' experience desired, preferably in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in individual, family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment. Experience working with the child/adolescent population
  • Licensure/Certification: LCSW/LCPC preferred. Certification as alcohol or other drug abuse counselor preferred. Successful completion of CPR certification and the current patient aggression management training, including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 90 days of employment.
