Job description

Kidwell Scott Engineering (KSE) is a small structural engineering firm focusing primarily on building design. Our projects typically consist of restaurants, banks, retail spaces, offices, schools, custom single-family residences, apartments, townhomes, and amenity buildings, but sometimes also includes retaining walls, miscellaneous steel design, light industrial crane design, and design of fiber reinforced polymer utility buildings. Building projects in our office are traditionally a variety of wood, steel, concrete, and masonry; single- and multi-story; and wind and seismic controlled. These projects are also a mix of new construction, tenant improvement buildouts, and renovations/additions.

KSE is looking for an associate structural engineer to join our growing team. The roles and responsibilities of this position are as follows:

· Perform design calculations using RISA, ENERCALC, and other analysis software, and sometimes hand calculations, to meet the requirements of the IBC, ASCE 7, material codes, and any other project requirements or constraints

· Use REVIT to model structural elements of a project and produce construction drawings

· Track and review project submittals and RFIs

· Perform site visits during construction

· Assist engineers and senior engineers with any other project needs

The ideal candidate shall have the following qualifications:

· Bachelors of Science from an ABET accredited university

· Masters of Science preferred

· Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam (E.I or E.I.T credentials)

· No experience required; up to 3 years of experience is applicable for position

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
