Job description

Job Title: Endoscopy Technician (Full-Time) 

Location: Bel Air, MD 
Facility: Harford Endoscopy Center 
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (No nights/weekends) 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for use 
  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures 
  • Collect and reconcile specimen 
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopes and related equipment according to regulatory standards 
  • Maintain accurate logs for equipment processing and infection control compliance 
  • Monitor and restock supplies and inventory 
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, CDC, and facility policies 
  • Support patient care team in maintaining a safe, efficient workflow 

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Certification as an Endoscopy Technician or Surgical Technician preferred 
  • Previous experience in endoscopy or GI setting strongly preferred 
  • Knowledge of scope reprocessing and infection control procedures 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, patient-centered environment 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods 
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as needed 
  • Manual dexterity to handle delicate instruments
