Summary:
The Endoscopy Technician will perform cleaning, high level disinfection, storage and maintain all records on the endoscopes utilized for patient care at CoA. They will maintain the endoscope processing lab and the environment of care related to these processes. They will do so by following all regulations and policies recognized and followed by CoA. When not working in the endoscopic area, the Endoscopy Technician will perform as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) by transporting: patients, specimens, blood, instruments, and help with housekeeping duties. They will perform any duties as necessary.

Providing surgical care in a sterile environment. Since Children's of Alabama is a teaching institution, you may also have residents, fellows, and physician assistants in addition to the already mentioned team members.
