Board-certified specialty services offered include internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, surgery, oncology, and ophthalmology. Our advanced diagnostic services include ultrasonography and echocardiography, electroencephalography, endoscopy, rapid-scan CT imaging, high field MRI, and cardio cath lab, in addition to many others.
Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency is seeking experienced veterinary technicians for our busy surgery department. Surgical Technicians are responsible for facilitating client consultations, maintaining daily charting/charges for emergency transfers or hospitalized patients, facilitating daily surgeries from admission to discharge of that patient. Efficiency and attention to detail and imperative. At CARE, surgery technicians work side by side with 3 board-certified surgeons in state-of-the-art facilities using advanced equipment such as CT, MRI, endoscopy, arthroscopy, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy!
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience is required
  • RVT preferred, but not required
  • Venipuncture
  • Peripheral intravenous catheter placement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Emotionally intelligent
  • Critical thinking skills
  • The ability to safely restrain patients for extended periods of time
  • Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical record systems, automated lab analyzers, digital radiology, etc.
