Job description

Aspirus- Wisconsin Rapids Hospital | Wisconsin
ASAP Start | Ongoing Coverage

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital is seeking multiple Locum Tenens Gastroenterology Physicians to provide scheduled clinical coverage on an ongoing basis. This is a weekday-only (Monday–Friday) opportunity with no call, offering excellent flexibility and support.

Opportunity Highlights
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Coverage Type: Clinic and scheduled procedures only

  • No call required

  • Open to as little as one week per month

  • Multiple physicians will be considered to rotate and collectively support a 1.0 FTE model

  • Week-on / week-off structure available and flexible based on availability

Practice Details
  • Mix of clinic and endoscopy procedures

  • Preferred weekly structure: 1 clinic day + 4 procedure days (flexible)

  • APC support in the clinic

  • 1-day orientation with Epic EMR support

  • Approximately 10–14 procedures per day

  • Three brand-new endoscopy suites with highly efficient endoscopy teams

  • ERCP and EUS are not required and not performed at this facility

  • Anesthesia support available during select blocks

Facility Overview
  • Inpatient census averages 28–30 medical/surgical patients

  • 3–4 ICU/IMCU patients, with 6 ICU beds and 8 IMCU beds

  • Modern, well-supported environment focused on efficient patient flow and quality care

Requirements
  • Board Certified Gastroenterology Physician

  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Licensure & Certification
  • Open to licensing

  • We will assist with Wisconsin Medical Licensure for qualified candidates

  • We will also help coordinate required Life Support certifications (BLS/ACLS) if needed
