Job description

Job Opportunity: Pediatric Endocrinologist

Our organization is actively looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Endocrinologist to become part of a thriving practice within the Department of Pediatrics, specifically in the Division of Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology. This role encompasses delivering comprehensive endocrine care, which includes managing patients with diabetes, overseeing the inpatient consultation service, and engaging in the education and training of both residents and medical students.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team of five physicians, supported by a diverse group of professionals, including a nurse practitioner, diabetes educators, registered nurses, social workers, clinical psychologists, and registered dietitians. Our Pediatric Diabetes Center has received recognition from the American Diabetes Association for its excellence in diabetes education. An academic appointment at our affiliated medical school will be based on the candidate's experience, training, accomplishments, and teaching contributions.

Our facility, a children's hospital with 364 beds, provides extensive care to over 1.2 million children annually. With a staff of more than 870 physicians and 2,310 support personnel, we handle over 82,000 patient visits each year, including around 7,100 visits to the diabetes clinic.

Situated in a prime Southern California location, the hospital is conveniently close to various beach cities, with both Los Angeles and San Diego within a 100-mile radius. Popular mountain and ski destinations like Big Bear are just 45 miles away, while Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park, both renowned tourist spots, are within 50 miles. The region is rich in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and more. Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range for this position starts at $228K-$268K, which is adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include signing bonuses, variable compensation, or additional productivity incentives and is subject to the specific compensation plans of the department.
