Ministry Internship
Non-Exempt / Temporary Internship


Position Summary

The Ministry Internship is designed to provide individuals with early exposure to ministry life through guided learning, hands-on experiences, and intentional mentoring. This role is exploratory in nature-ideal for those discerning a call to ministry, seeking to develop spiritual gifts, and learning how local church ministry functions day to day.

Interns will serve alongside ministry leaders in a variety of areas while gaining a broad perspective of church life, spiritual leadership, and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning & Exploration
    • Participate in structured teaching, mentoring, and reflection opportunities.
    • Attend staff meetings, leadership trainings, and ministry gatherings.
    • Explore different ministry areas (worship, discipleship, outreach, children, youth, operations, etc.).
  • Ministry Exposure
    • Assist ministry leaders with planning, preparation, and execution of events, services, and programs.
    • Observe and shadow leaders in pastoral care, discipleship, and organizational leadership.
    • Contribute to team projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Personal & Spiritual Growth
    • Engage in regular times of prayer, scripture study, and reflection.
    • Participate in leadership development activities and receive ongoing feedback.
    • Demonstrate growing character, humility, and teachability in all areas of service.
