Job description

We're hiring an End Dump Driver to join County Materials Corp in Custer, WI.
Job Summary:
An End Dump Driver will haul bulk aggregates and other materials as needed in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position requires safe and efficient operation of end dump equipment while maintaining full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT requirements. The End Dump Driver represents the company professionally at customer and plant locations, ensuring accurate deliveries and strong customer service.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Safely haul bulk aggregates and construction materials using end dump tractor-trailer equipment
  • Demonstrate professional customer service while interacting with customers and site personnel
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and ensure proper operating condition of assigned truck
  • Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices
  • Confirm cargo type, quantity, and delivery destination; ensure all delivery tickets are signed and returned to the plant
  • Ensure accurate placement of materials at delivery locations
  • Transport product while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and established routes
  • Follow all company safety policies, including proper use of required PPE
  • Safely unload materials using approved methods
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Dispatcher regarding routes, deliveries, and issues
  • Act in a professional and courteous manner to maintain positive customer relationships
  • Maintain accurate records of daily driving and job tasks
  • Grease tractor and trailer every 300 operating hours; grease box hinge pins weekly
  • Apply anti-stick treatments to trailers as needed during cold weather months
  • Participate in weekly Toolbox Talks and safety meetings
  • Self-load with front-end loader as required
  • Attend all required annual training sessions

Experience & Qualifications:

Work Environment:
  • Work is typically performed in an Indoor and Outdoor environment.
  • Exposure may include moderate noise, weather, work near moving machinery/equipment, public interaction
  • Travel required: Primarily intra-state travel in company vehicle, may require inter-state travel as needed; home every night.
  • Typical work hours/shifts: 40 hours per week, overtime expectations (seasonal), possible layoff in winter months.
