Job description

Position Overview
The Senior Product Manager will provide strategic direction and support to designated team members responsible for managing and selecting all of the assigned products that support Encore's operations. This leadership role has broad responsibilities that include managing a designated group of team members with a sharp focus on product life cycle, product marketing, and growth strategies. The Senior Product Manager will serve as the leader for a core group of product lines and act as a technical champion for Encore's products, as well as demonstrate the ability to manage the product line by maximizing the usage and profitability of Encore's products. This is a both an analytical and end customer focused role that will demand that the manager work closely with the Vice President of Product Management and all departments across Encore.
Key Job Responsibilities
Business Management
• Develop and execute against plans and strategies to achieve current and future goals for equipment utilization, cost, and revenue targets by working with the Procurement, Marketing, Training, Sales Enablement and Asset Management teams.
• Lead a designated team to develop and execute product strategies and growth goals that are required to meet the company's goals.
• Meet the current and future needs of the business using sales and customer service understanding and support.
Product Development
• Develop and implement plans to expand Encore's product offering through the understanding of unmet needs, performance requirements and technological innovations within Encore's marketplace.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Sales , Marketing and Regional Product Performance Managers to Specify market requirements for current products and support future products as technology evolves.
• Review and recommend capital purchases and product utilization through review of business operations and business analytics.
Product Expert
• Lead a team that serves as the product experts for assigned product categories, including ownership of product specifications.
• Analyze potential partner relationships for the product, including supplier and sub-rental strategies.
• Work closely with Procurement on equipment strategies and pricing goals for specific vendors.
• Direct their team to pursue new products or strategies that will continue to drive out business costs through strategies with Procurement.
Product Alignment
• Lead strategic workshops for the assigned products that represent the various operations across Encore. The workshops serve as a think tank related to understanding relevant technology solutions being offered globally.
• Set direct reports for success to lead and manage this process so that there are strategic decisions made to the business to improve alignment on Encore technology portfolio on a global basis when possible.
• Collect feedback from direct reports and consistently review and deliver recommendations to the VP of Product Management.
Analysis and Reporting
• Direct designated Product Managers to Assess product results, including utilization, costs, revenues, and contribution.
• Manage reports that highlight results to review and make recommendations to the VP of Product Management as well as other managers as needed.
• Ensure all direct reports are responsible for tradeshow reports, site visit analysis, and bi-annual procurement reports to name a few.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 5+ years of electronics, A/V, event technology, and/or software development product management/marketing experience
• Analytical ability and understanding of financial analysis
• Intermediate experience level with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group situations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet or exceed multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to interact in a team-oriented environment across multiple levels of an organization
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external clients and suppliers
• Up to 50% travel

Work Environment
Hotel
Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area.
Warehouse
Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Office
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
