Position Overview

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our growing team at the Youth Mental Advocate Counseling Center. Work Environment

This remote position provides LMFTs the opportunity to exercise autonomy in managing their schedules and caseloads, which typically consists of 10 to 30 billable hours per week. Therapists will utilize telehealth platforms to deliver services, ensuring client access to care from the comfort of their own homes. Our organization places a strong emphasis on professional development and teamwork, facilitating virtual and in-person group consultations to enhance clinician skills and foster community among staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations of clients using the latest DSM guidelines to determine their mental health needs.
• Deliver evidence-based short-term psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals and families, ensuring a personalized approach tailored to each client's specific circumstances and challenges.
• Implement and manage treatment plans that include modalities such as crisis intervention, brief therapy, skills training, and couple’s or family counseling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment decision-making.
• Document all clinical activities meticulously, preparing reports and maintaining accurate records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Participate in regular clinical team meetings to discuss case consultations, quality assurance, and collective planning for client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At the Youth Mental Advocate Counseling Center, our focus encompasses a diverse demographic spectrum, including children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with mental health disorders and dual-diagnosis challenges. Our therapists are tasked with providing empathetic and informed therapeutic support to these individuals, fostering healing and coping strategies that contribute to positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A valid LMFT license or Psy.D. in the state of California is required.
• A Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services in a clinical setting.
• Familiarity and proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health records are essential.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within integrated healthcare environments and familiarity with community resources.
• Expertise in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches tailored to individual and group settings.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our compensation package includes a sign-on bonus, robust health benefits, and support for professional development, which can encompass training workshops, conferences, licensing renewal, and continuing education opportunities.
