Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Apprentice Electricians for projects located in the Baytown, TX area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $27-32/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are an Electrician Apprentice looking to learn and grow in your trade alongside accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to further your career!

Job Scope:

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical components of ERW Pipe Plant
  • Work on Uncoiler, strip accumulator, forming mill, edge milling machines, sizing mill, cut-off, HF welders, seam normalizers, end facers, hydro testers, UT machines, induction heating equipment, threading machines, gas furnaces and material handling systems
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of plant electrical distribution systems (LV/MV panels, MCCs, PCCs), transformers, switchgear, and busbars
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of AC/DC Drives, VFDs, Overhead Cranes, Cooling Tower Pumps, Fans, Compressors, Plant Lighting (Indoor and Outdoor)
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of a variety of sensors (photo, laser, level, temperature, encoders, pressure)
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of faulty cables, contactors, relays, and breakers
  • Installation of rigid, EMT and flex conduits and pulling of wires as required
  • Attending breakdowns and preventive maintenance on ERW Pipe plant equipment
  • Support installation and commissioning of new mill equipment or upgrades
