Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. WTVT FOX 13 Tampa is looking for the next generation ofstreamingtalent to help shape the future of local news. We are seeking a digitally native journalist and dynamic on-air personality to produce andhostlivestreamingcontent for our growingstreamingplatform, with a primary focus on evening and breaking news coverage.

This is not a traditional television role. We're looking for someone who understands how audiences consume news on digital platforms, thrives in a live environment, and can create compelling, conversational content without relying on a teleprompter. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end execution of live streams, serving as both the on-camerahostandproducerwhile making smart editorial decisions and engaging viewers in real time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce andhostlivestreamingprogramming focused on evening and breaking news coverage.
  • Own the end-to-end production of live streams and VOD content, including editorial planning, technical execution, and on-air presentation.
  • Operatestreamingproduction tools including live switching, encoding, clipping, publishing, and real-time troubleshooting.
  • Engage directly with viewers through live chat and audience interaction to create an authentic, community-driven experience.
  • Make strong editorial decisions in real time, adjusting coverage as news develops and audience interests evolve.
  • Collaborate with newsroom leadership, digital, social, assignment desk,producers, and production teams to align coverage and maximize content across platforms.
  • Pitch original story ideas, cultivate sources, and help shape futurestreamingcoverage alongside newsroom leadership andStreamingManagers.
  • Conduct interviews with newsmakers, experts, and community leaders during live programming.
  • Maintain high journalistic standards while ensuring all content meets legal, ethical, and FOX Television Stations guidelines.
  • Fill time confidently during breaking news, developing situations, or technical interruptions while maintaining viewer engagement.
  • Occasionally contribute to linear broadcasts as newsroom needs dictate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in digital news,streaming, reporting, MMJ work, producing, or live content creation preferred.
  • Strong on-camera presence with the ability to communicate naturally in unscripted live environments.
  • Demonstrated experience producing digital video, live streams, or social-first news content.
  • Strong news judgment and the ability to make fast editorial decisions under deadline pressure.
  • Technical proficiency with livestreamingworkflows including switching, encoding, publishing, clipping, and distribution. Experience with TriCaster and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, but the ability to learn new technology quickly is essential.
  • Experience engaging digital audiences and understanding audience retention acrossstreamingplatforms.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Background in journalism, broadcast media, digital media, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-traditional hours as breaking news demands.

Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
