What is an enclosed trailer?

An enclosed trailer is a type of cargo trailer that is fully covered with solid walls and a roof, providing protection for the items being transported from weather and theft. These trailers are commonly used to haul equipment, vehicles, furniture, or other valuables that need to stay secure and dry. Enclosed trailers come in various sizes and can be towed by trucks, SUVs, or other vehicles equipped with the proper hitch. They often feature locking doors, interior tie-downs, and sometimes ramps for easy loading and unloading.

Drivers must ensure the load is secure, follow safety regulations, and maintain the trailer in good condition. Some positions require a commercial driver's license (CDL), depending on the trailer's size and weight.
